Volleyball Recap: Northridge Raiders vs. Warsaw Tigers

After flying high against East Noble on Thursday, Northridge came back down to earth. The Raiders came up short against the Warsaw Tigers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. It was the first time this season that the Raiders let down their fans at home.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-10.

Alli Steele paced Northridge's offense, picking up 11 kills. Steele got some help from Izzy Melvin and her 28 assists. Molly Nickell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Warsaw was led to victory by Ellie Hepler and Avary Hoeppner. Hepler had 22 digs and four aces, while Hoeppner had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs Hepler has posted over her last nine contests. Cecelia Goode also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Warsaw, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

Northridge and Warsaw should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Raiders will face off against Westview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (54 vs. 211). Meanwhile, Warsaw (ranked seventh) will meet Portage (ranked 188th) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
