Basketball Recap: Lutheran Northwest Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lutheran Northwest waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 55-45 win over the Southfield Christian Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 55-36 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lutheran Northwest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Henry, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Henry a new career-high in points. Calan Denne was another key player, going 5 for 8 to rack up 12 points and five rebounds.

The victory got Lutheran Northwest back to even at 8-8. As for Southfield Christian, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran Northwest will head out to square off against Roeper at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up.
