Baseball Recap: Williams Valley Vikings vs. Minersville Miners
While Williams Valley's victory against Minersville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Miners 4-2. The game was the first time the Vikings have beaten the Miners on their field since May 8, 2023.
Cayden Witmer made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Witmer was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
