Bartlett Yancey is a perfect 3-0 against Southeast Alamance since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers will look to defend their home field against the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 6:00 p.m. Bartlett Yancey will be strutting in after a victory while Southeast Alamance will be coming in after a loss.
Bartlett Yancey headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Graham let them put that streak behind them. Bartlett Yancey blew past Graham 21-10 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Buccaneers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Alana Knight was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off one hit. Knight was even better at the plate, scoring five runs and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Montana Locklear, who went 3-for-6 with one home run, four stolen bases, and six RBI. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Savana Gibbs, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.
Bartlett Yancey was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .568. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Southeast Alamance finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of Jordan-Matthews by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Stallions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Southeast Alamance saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Lloyd, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Lloyd has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Brooke Hardister also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Southeast Alamance now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bartlett Yancey, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Bartlett Yancey hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Southeast Alamance struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Bartlett Yancey took their win against Southeast Alamance in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-5. Will Bartlett Yancey repeat their success, or does Southeast Alamance have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
