It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mountain Ridge had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Copper Hills Grizzlies 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Sentinels sure are getting used to it with their 14th in a row.
Lucy Coombs paced Mountain Ridge's offense, picking up ten kills. Coombs got some help from McKynlee Miller and her 19 assists. Finally, Coombs was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Despite the loss, Copper Hills still got an impressive performance from Kielana Gasu, who had 25 digs. Gasu is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Mountain Ridge's record is now 26-3. As for Copper Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-19.
