StoneBridge took a 21-point loss the last time they faced off against Hampton Christian Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cavaliers skirted past the Warriors 60-57.

Hampton Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Justice Powell, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards, and Marcus Ruff, who went 5-for-10 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds. Powell has been hot, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenton McCoy Jr, who posted nine points.

StoneBridge's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Hampton Christian Academy, they moved to 9-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, StoneBridge won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Broadwater Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.78 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hampton Christian Academy, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Portsmouth Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' defense better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 69.2 points per game this season.
