Baseball Recap: Mesa Comes Up Short

Mesa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Red Mountain Mountain Lions, falling 9-1. The Jackrabbits were not able to make up for their loss to the Mountain Lions from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Mesa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Otero, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Mesa's record is now 2-13. As for Red Mountain, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

While Mesa had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
