Softball Recap: South River Takes a Loss

South River managed to slip by Highland Park the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rams lost 15-5 to the Owls on Monday. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

South River's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Highland Park, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, South River will challenge Wardlaw Hartridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. South River will need to watch out since Wardlaw Hartridge has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Highland Park, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-2 defeat against South Amboy on the 23rd.
