Softball Recap: North Garland's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

North Garland can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past the South Garland Titans 25-7. The Raiders' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Marhiana Hughes was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristina Valencia, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

North Garland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Garland only posted a batting average of .320.

North Garland picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-14. As for South Garland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, North Garland will be playing in front of their home fans against Naaman Forest at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South Garland, they will head out on the road to challenge Sachse at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. South Garland has given up an average of 18.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
