Volleyball Recap: Allatoona Takes a Loss

The Allatoona Buccaneers didn't have quite enough to beat the Central Lions on Thursday and fell 2-1. While the Buccaneers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-16 in the first set.

Allatoona actually scored more points across those three sets (60-58), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-20, 17-15.

Abigayle Rowland was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 assists and two aces.

Allatoona's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Allatoona is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Harrison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will take on Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
