Baseball Recap: Washington Tech's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Washington Tech hadn't done well against Como Park recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Cougars. Considering the Eagles have won three games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Washington Tech's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Como Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Washington Tech wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-12 win against Harding on the 23rd. As for Como Park, they will welcome Johnson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Governors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.2 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
