Basketball Recap: Parowan Comes Up Short

Parowan played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs, falling 50-13. The Rams have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Gunnison Valley was led to victory by Rylee Bartholomew and Autumn Anderson. Bartholomew dropped a triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals, while Anderson dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, Bartholomew is now averaging an impressive 8.5 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Linsi Hansen, who posted five points and six steals.

Parowan's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gunnison Valley, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Parowan has already played their next contest, a 35-27 defeat against Bryce Valley on the 3rd. As for Gunnison Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Sanpete at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
