Soccer Game Preview: Walton vs. Destin

The Walton Braves will venture away from home to challenge the Destin Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Walton is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Rocky Bayou Christian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1.

Walton's goal came courtesy of Brayden Sampson, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, Destin entered their tilt with North Bay Haven Academy back in December of 2024 with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged the Buccaneers out 2-1.

Destin's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three games. As for Walton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Walton took their win against Destin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Walton since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
