Chanute can bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past the West Pioneers, posting a 55-26 win. The Blue Comets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Chanute's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for West, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Chanute has already played their next match, a 0-0 tie against Eisenhower on the 25th. As for West, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. Southeast is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.
