Basketball Recap: Belleville Mennonite Comes Up Short

Belleville Mennonite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fannett Metal. If the Thunder were looking for revenge after losing 82-49 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Belleville Mennonite's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Fannett Metal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belleville Mennonite will challenge Newport at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Belleville Mennonite is facing Newport at the right time seeing as Newport is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Fannett Metal, they will head out to square off against Rockwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fannett Metal will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: Rockwood will have lost 20 straight heading into Thursday's contest.
