Football Game Preview: Christian Patriots vs. La Jolla Vikings + How To Watch

The Christian Patriots will venture away from home to take on the La Jolla Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Madison and fell 30-28. The Patriots gained 64 more yards on the day, but it was the Warhawks that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Christian had strong showings from Kaleb Runkle, who threw for 229 yards and two TDs, and Kai Rosier, who gained 231 total yards and a touchdown. Rosier's longest reception was for an incredible 78 yards.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 40 points the game before, La Jolla was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 37-7 defeat at the hands of Point Loma. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Pointers are ranked 109th).

Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for La Jolla, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Christian was dealt a bruising 49-19 loss at the hands of La Jolla in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
