Softball Recap: Plano Takes a Loss

Reed-Custer hit Plano with a four-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Reapers lost 11-2 to the Comets. The defeat continues a trend for the Reapers in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost five in a row.

Plano saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annabelle Solis, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Plano's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Reed-Custer, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Plano will square off against Gardner-South Wilmington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Reapers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Reed-Custer, they are taking a road trip to face off against Peotone at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Blue Devils have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
