Baseball Game Preview: Corydon Central Panthers vs. North Harrison Cougars

The Corydon Central Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the North Harrison Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Lanesville hit Corydon Central with a five-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell 9-6 to the Eagles. That makes it the first time this season the Panthers have let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, North Harrison unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Heritage Hills, falling 10-3.

North Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Corydon Central, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 6-4.

Corydon Central couldn't quite get it done against North Harrison in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 9-5. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
