Soccer Game Preview: Dyer County vs. Milan

The Dyer County Choctaws are taking a road trip to challenge the Milan Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Dyer County turned things around against Bolton on Friday. They and the Wildcats finished up their match with a 2-2 draw. The result was nothing new for Dyer County as the squad haven't won a game since March 11th.

Hunter Anderson and Joshua Johnson scored both of Dyer County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Milan made sure to put some goals up on the board against Peabody last Friday. They came out on top against the Golden Tide by a score of 5-3. Milan haven't had any issues with Peabody recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Milan's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. Dyer County's draw gives them a new season record of 1-4-2.

Dyer County might still be hurting after the 5-1 defeat they got from Milan when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Dyer County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
