Amiri Mumba's Big Game Leads Highland over Belen
Starting off the list is Highland's Amiri Mumba, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Mumba rushed for 276 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August.
Unfortunately for Belen, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mumba. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Mumba saw the Eagles), he rushed for 335 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown.

Kyle Evenhus Turns in Season-Best Effort
Los Alamos was led to victory by Kyle Evenhus, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Saturday. Evenhus threw for 194 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
The victory (which was Los Alamos' fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Evenhus and Los Alamos will take on Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Chris Melendez Turns in Another Game with at Least 113 Receiving Yards
Chris Melendez continued his hot streak on Saturday by dropping his third-straight game with at least 113 receiving yards. He made three total tackles. He also hauled in two receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Valley is 2-1 when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise.
Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. Melendez and Valley will venture away from home to face off against Los Alamos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Salid (Syeed) Rashid Delivers Best Performance of Season
Miyamura was led to victory by Salid (Syeed) Rashid, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Rashid threw for 247 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. He has become a key player for Miyamura: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
The victory (which was Miyamura's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. They and Del Norte are set to duel on Friday.

Jordan Herrera Goes Supernova in Los Alamos Victory
Jordan Herrera was instrumental in extending Los Alamos's winning streak to five on Saturday. Nobody could stop Herrera as he rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also caught a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 123 rushing yards.
For the season, Herrera has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 120.5 rushing yards per game.
