            Softball Recap: String Theory vs. South Philadelphia Rams        
        
		
        
        
            String Theory had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the South Philadelphia Rams with a sharp  14-1 win. String Theory has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw South Philadelphia, too.

 Savannah Iamurri and  Annamae Uhl were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound,  Iamurri   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Uhl   struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. At the plate,  Iamurri  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and one  double, while  Uhl  scored three  runs and  stole  Four bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave  Uhl a new career-high in  stolen bases.
 In other batting news,  Alana Juliano was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Three bases. while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of  Danica Divincenzo, who  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
This is the second loss in a row for South Philadelphia and  nudges their season record down to 0-2.
 String Theory has already played their next game,  a  12-4  victory against Varsity Opponent on the 18th. As for South Philadelphia, they will be playing at home against Parkway West  at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
