Baseball Recap: Bellaire Comes Up Short

Bellaire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-5 to the Buckeye Local Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 on Wednesday.

Bellaire's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Buckeye Local, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.

Coming up, Bellaire will head out to square off against River at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buckeye Local, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.42 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
