Softball Recap: Santa Barbara Takes a Loss

The Santa Barbara Dons lost 24-1 to the Moorpark Musketeers on Saturday. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Laila Hernandez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Santa Barbara now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Moorpark, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Santa Barbara will challenge Ventura at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Barbara has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Moorpark, they will face off against Valencia at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Moorpark is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12 runs per game this season.
