Baseball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Kennedy challenged San Fernando on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-1. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Kennedy and nudges their season record down to 8-18. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 19-5 Sylmar (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.6% over those games). As for San Fernando, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-12 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kennedy will square off against rival Sylmar at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, San Fernando is set to challenge their familiar foe North Hollywood at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
