Baseball Recap: Ragsdale Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ragsdale had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the North Rowan Cavaliers. Considering the Tigers have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ky Henry made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Micha Swahnville looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

Back at the plate, Ragsdale let Braylon Louis and Kyle Maness run wild. Louis went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Maness went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three runs gave Louis a new career-high. Sam Kluttz was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Ragsdale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Rowan only posted a batting average of .240.

Ragsdale's record is now 12-8. As for North Rowan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ragsdale will host Southwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Rowan, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Union Academy at 7:00 p.m.
