Colton waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Rosalia Spartans as they made off with a 23-6 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Colton got a massive performance out of Leah Musson, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those three hits gave Musson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ella Nollmeyer, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Colton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Colton pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Rosalia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.

Colton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
