Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plainfield East). Everything went their way against the Joliet Central Steelmen on Monday as they made off with a 16-6 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bengals as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Plainfield East's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-16-1. As for Joliet Central, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Plainfield East will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Steelmen: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
