Fort Dorchester had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Beaufort Eagles by a score of 17-6. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Thomas Adamsky threw for 70 yards and two TDs. Laurez Matthews was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards. On the ground, Kyrome Durant rushed for 37 yards.

Fort Dorchester will face off against Goose Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Beaufort, they will take on Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
