Basketball Game Preview: San Dieguito Academy Mustangs vs. Mission Vista

The San Dieguito Academy Mustangs will head out on the road to take on Mission Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 22 consecutive losses dating back to last season for San Dieguito Academy and four for Mission Vista.

Last Wednesday, San Dieguito Academy took a blow against Sage Creek, falling 112-35. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1222nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 186th).

Meanwhile, Mission Vista came up short against Canyon Crest Academy on Friday and fell 70-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (57), Mission Vista still had to take the loss.

San Dieguito Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Mission Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.

San Dieguito Academy took a serious blow against Mission Vista in their previous meeting back in January, falling 82-40. Can San Dieguito Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
