Hockinson has been away from home for three games now, but on Friday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Woodland Beavers at 7:00 p.m.
Hockinson will head into Friday's contest ready to turn things around: they lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a 47-14 loss at the hands of R.A. Long.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodland). They put the hurt on Columbia River with a sharp 29-7 victory on Friday. With the Beavers ahead 23-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Elijah Andersen was his usual excellent self, rushing for 75 yards, while also throwing for 96 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made six total tackles.
Woodland wouldn't let Columbia River keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Woodland can thank Andersen and Seth Popp for forcing both of them. With that strong performance, Popp is now averaging an impressive 6.3 total tackles per game. Logan Busig was another major factor on D, making ten total tackles (6.0 for loss).
Hockinson dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Woodland, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
