Basketball Recap: Velma Jackson Comes Up Short

Velma Jackson was the 52-23 winner over Nanih Waiya when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Velma Jackson Falcons were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 42-41 to the Nanih Waiya Warriors. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Velma Jackson now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Nanih Waiya, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Velma Jackson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nanih Waiya, they will square off against McAdams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McAdams will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Nanih Waiya surely won't give up without a fight.
