Softball Recap: Chimacum Takes a Loss

Chimacum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cascade Christian Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-5 on Wednesday.

Chimacum's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Cascade Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chimacum will take on Tenino at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Beavers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.75 runs per game on average), something the Cowboys will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cascade Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Seattle Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 11.7 runs per game this season.
