Baseball Recap: Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy Takes a Loss

Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy blew Gueydan out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Gueydan got their revenge. The Tigers fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sean Mendoza spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, Kennen Brown made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Gueydan, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15.

Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-4 victory against Hicks on the 12th. As for Gueydan, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 22-4 win against V.B. Glencoe Charter on the 11th.
