Volleyball Recap: Fosston Takes a Loss

Fosston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Thief River Falls Prowlers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Prowlers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Fosston took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-23.

Hatty Quam paced Fosston's offense, picking up nine kills. Quam got some help from Brielle Duppong and her 12 assists. Ava Hayes controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Fosston's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Thief River Falls, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-9.

Fosston has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Fertile-Beltrami on the 14th. As for Thief River Falls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Warroad on the 14th.
