Basketball Game Preview: Toms River East Raiders vs. Donovan Catholic Griffins

The Toms River East Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Donovan Catholic Griffins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Toms River East didn't have quite enough to beat Wall Township and fell 39-36. The game marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Donovan Catholic came up short against Toms River North on Monday and fell 39-30. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Donovan Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Toms River East, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Toms River East beat Donovan Catholic 40-30 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will Toms River East repeat their success, or does Donovan Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
