Softball Game Preview: Cascade Christian Cougars vs. Seattle Christian Warriors

The Cascade Christian Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Seattle Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cascade Christian comes in on four and Seattle Christian on five.

Cascade Christian proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Seton Catholic 2-1.

Meanwhile, Seattle Christian's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They blew past Chimacum 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Izzy Blase made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Adrienne Koontz was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Sophie Gielski was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Seattle Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Cascade Christian, their record now sits at 6-4.

Cascade Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Seattle Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 12-10. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
