Baseball Recap: Glenbrook South Titans vs. Leyden Eagles
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Glenbrook South had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Leyden Eagles.
Glenbrook South got a great performance from Roger Niedermaier as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Niedermaier has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trey Ryno was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Glenbrook South: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 14-19 otherwise. Evan Bonnell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases.
