Baseball Recap: Palmetto Ridge Gets the Win

It was close, but on Tuesday the Palmetto Ridge Bears sidestepped the Southwest Florida Christian King for an 11-10 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Anthony Del Sol was incredible, firing off two home runs, two stolen bases, and three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Tommy Cox, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Del Sol wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Palmetto Ridge lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Palmetto Ridge now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Southwest Florida Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Palmetto Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwest Florida Christian, they will head out to square off against Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
