Basketball Game Preview: Harlingen Cardinals vs. Veterans Memorial Chargers

The Harlingen Cardinals will take on the Veterans Memorial Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harlingen knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matchups -- so hopefully Veterans Memorial likes a good challenge.

Harlingen took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past San Benito 68-37. Meanwhile, Veterans Memorial was able to grind out a solid win over San Benito on Tuesday, taking the game 56-47.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Veterans Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 11-17.
