Basketball Recap: Catholic Central Takes a Loss

Catholic Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Greenon Knights, falling 62-16. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-12 back in December of 2024.

Danaysha Dearmond was Catholic Central's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Catholic Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Greenon, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Catholic Central will welcome Southeastern Local at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Greenon, they will head out to face off against Cedarville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Greenon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
