Basketball Recap: Penney Comes Up Short

Penney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Savannah Savages and fell 77-30. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 525th, while the Savages are ranked 65th).

Penney's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Savannah, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Penney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-43 loss against Gallatin on the 29th. As for Savannah, they will face off against West Platte at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th.
