There's no place like home for University, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They breezed by the Valley Vikings at home to the tune of 34-0 on Friday. Considering the Bulldogs have won five contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
University found their leader in underclassman Michael Kelly, who rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Freddy Cano, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, University was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 283 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley only rushed for 95.
University's record now sits at 5-2. As for Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
University will head out to challenge Berthoud at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Berthoud: 10.3, University: 13) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Valley, they will welcome Eaton at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
