Baseball Recap: Akron-Fairgrove Takes a Loss

Akron-Fairgrove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Kingston Cardinals, falling 10-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-4 on Monday.

Avian Graves made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Joel C. was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Akron-Fairgrove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Kingston, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Akron-Fairgrove will challenge More Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingston, they will head out to take on Mayville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Cardinals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
