Baseball Game Preview: Hillman Tigers vs. Tawas Area Braves

The Hillman Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Tawas Area Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillman's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Tawas Area's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Hillman managed to slip by Pickford the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 11-1 to the Panthers on Tuesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Tigers, who until this match were averaging 4.03 runs allowed.

Hillman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Crane, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. That double was Crane's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Tawas Area came up short against Glenn on Tuesday, falling 19-4. The loss continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost six in a row.

Hillman has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-7 record this season. As for Tawas Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Everything went Hillman's way against Tawas Area in their previous matchup back in April, as Hillman made off with an 18-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
