Basketball Recap: Clayton's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

Clayton and Haddon Township squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Clayton had to settle for second. They took a 74-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Haddon Township Hawks. The Clippers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Clayton moved to 10-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 94.0 points over those games. As for Haddon Township, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Haddon Township, they will square off against Palmyra on Saturday.
