Basketball Recap: Turral Berry Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Hardee

It was a proper cat-fight when Vanguard challenged Hardee on Thursday. Everything went the Vanguard Panthers' way against the Hardee Wildcats as the Vanguard Panthers made off with a 92-66 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted since December 3, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vanguard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Turral Berry, who posted 22 points and five steals. The match was Berry's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jakhai Ford, who dropped a triple-double on 14 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.

Vanguard was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Vanguard's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Hardee, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Vanguard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 96-51 win against All Saints' Academy on the 31st. As for Hardee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-41 defeat against Lake Region on the 3rd.
