Basketball Recap: Mae Jemison Takes a Loss

Mae Jemison and Pinson Valley squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Mae Jemison had to settle for second. They fell 43-31 to the Pinson Valley Indians.

Pinson Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Austin 'Woo' Coner, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds. Coner is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 20 games he's played. Quay Lynch was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 15 points.

Mae Jemison's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Pinson Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Mae Jemison nor Pinson Valley have any future games scheduled.
