Football Game Preview: East Islip Redmen vs. Northport Tigers + Official Tickets

The East Islip Redmen will be playing at home against the Northport Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Islip will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

East Islip is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Connetquot a 38-0 shutout. Considering the Redmen have won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Northport beat Bellport 28-21 on Saturday.

Northport's win came from a few key players East Islip will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Greyson Cabrera, who picked up 149 receiving yards and two scores, and also rushed for 47 yards and one TD. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 55 yards. Daniel Miller did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards.

East Islip's record is now 8-1. As for Northport, their record now sits at an identical 8-1.

East Islip was able to grind out a solid win over Northport in their previous matchup last Saturday, winning 31-21. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Tigers' Simon Blissett, who threw for 287 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 51 yards and one score.
