Volleyball Game Preview: Industrial Cobras vs. Yoakum Bulldogs

The Industrial Cobras will head out on the road to challenge the Yoakum Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Industrial will be strutting in after a win while Yoakum will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Industrial made easy work of Rice Consolidated and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cobras.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Industrial was: they took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-7, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Yoakum unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Friday. They fell 3-1 to Columbus.

While Yoakum had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-21.

Yoakum now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Industrial, their win bumped their record up to 31-14.

Industrial took their victory against Yoakum when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cobras since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
