Volleyball Recap: East Lincoln Starts off Right with Win over Newton-Conover

East Lincoln took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Newton-Conover Red Devils by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2020.

While East Lincoln might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Newton-Conover scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 22-25, 25-18.

Newton-Conover is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, East Lincoln will take on South Point at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newton-Conover, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hickory at 6:00 p.m.
